Kick off Spring in Chicago with the launch of Bassnectar’s four seasonally themed events for 2018! It has been a long 7 years since Bassnectar has performed in Chicago at a special event like this, with his last being at the now-retired Congress Theater in April 2012 for his Vava Voom Tour.

Clearly, he and his team are ready to return and make a statement. The stacked lineup for Spring Gathering features REZZ, Troyboi, TOKiMONSTA, Ivy Lab, Danny Corn, and Andreilien over two days on March 30 and March 31. Bassnectar’s goal is to make the Donald E. Stephens Center in Rosemont an environment that is similar to that of the classic raves that he grew up on. His website announced that there will be “flickering lasers, writhing bodies, and undulating bass….all united together on one level!”

This event in Chicago marks the first of four seasonal gatherings and is meant to properly welcome the dawning of Spring. Bassnectar’s team is putting a huge effort toward stepping up their game with art, music, interactivity, and community. Additionally, they want to foster an environment that parallels the feeling of Spring—welcoming rebirth, regeneration, and a radiant gratitude for life.

After parties for the event have been announced at Concord Music Hall and, to no surprise, the lineups are AWESOME. March 30 features DMVU, Jantsen, and EOTO while March 31 features Danny Corn, Ivy Lab, ill.Gates, and Andreilien.

Bassnectar and his team also unveiled the next location of his seasonal events. Colorado will be the home of his Freestyle Sessions Summer Gathering 2018!
