Midwestern EDM fans are in for a treat this holiday season. Brand new events have just been announced to take place at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee near Halloween and on New Years Eve. Start planning those costumes now!
Jawbreaker Festival, to be held in celebration of Halloween on October 27th and 28th, features an eclectic lineup that is sure to excite fans of a variety of sub-genres. Day 1 is set to kick off with performances from local artists. RCKT PWR, Parker, and Crystal Knives. After the locals warm up the crowd, we can expect performances from funkmaster GRiZ, Chicago native future-bass duo Louis The Child, and the electro-house champion, ZEDD. GRiZ was the most recent headliner added to the lineup, and we couldn’t be happier with this surprise. These three headliners have been staying relatively low-key this year, and we’re praying for some fresh heaters to get the costumed crowd rowdy.
There’s a little something for everyone night one, but the fun will be far from over then… Night 2 features the musical stylings of Wisconsin locals Plaid Hawaii and Moses. Once they get the crowd fired up, brace yourselves for a few hours of filthy trap from SLUMBERJVCK and RL Grime. We have yet to catch RL Grime since the release of his new album, “NOVA”, and we’re sure he has something extra spooky planned to celebrate Halloween. Finally, get ready to be hit straight in the feels with everyone’s favorite percussive electro duo, ODESZA. (We’re not crying, you are – shut up). Their new track “Loyal” just dropped this week, and were so stoked to hear the final mix on a bone rattling sound system. Keep your fingers crossed for their stunning drum line to make an appearance…
As if a Halloween event to fill the void of Freaky Deaky wasn’t enough, Milwaukee has also been graced with plans for Radiance New Year’s Eve Festival. There is no news from React Presents for the return of Reaction NYE yet, so it looks like Milwaukee will be the place to be when the clock strikes midnight. Bass-heads rejoice! This lineup is about as heavy-hitting as it gets, with face-melting performances planned for the entirety of the night. Local Wisconsin performers Whipped Cream and Spock will get things going. Next, Bear Grillz and Riot Ten will help warm up your neck for the headliners. Bear Grillz and Riot Ten have also been relatively quiet this year, but we’re excited to hear their most recent singles, “Too Loud” and “No Surrender,” respectively. Be ready to throw up half the alphabet as Zeds Dead and Excision ring in the new year! Excision just wrapped up 3 nights of teeth-chattering madness at Lost Lands, and there’s no doubt he will have something special up his sleeve to break in the New Year. Also, make sure to check out Zed Dead’s new single with DNMO, “We Could Be Kings” for maximum hype! While you all practice your X’s and Z’s, we will be praying the promoters crossed their t’s and dotted their i’s with a midnight b2b on the paradox rig.
Check back with us early and often as we post updates regarding the lineup and logistics of these exciting new events! Tickets for Radiance NYE will be on sale September 19 at 4pm.
