We’ve been itching for the next installment of Repvblik Presents’ Future Sounds experience series since Levitation Jones headlined in June. After over six months, the wait is finally over, and organizers have put together a stacked lineup of up-and-coming bass producers for the series’ third anniversary. Much to the enthusiasm of downtempo bass aficionados, both Salty Dubstep and local producer MeSo are making their Chicago debut to headline the event this Saturday. Just last month, Salty Dubstep released his Lost in The Salt 2 project, and his tracks are jam packed with deep, hypnotizing wubs.
We’ve also had our eyes on MeSo since the release of his track, Goddess, several months ago. He’s been hard at work – dropping nearly 20 wonky heaters in the time since. Slated supporting acts include midwest locals Rilathon, mlotik, Deceptigrime and Bass-iLL; all of whom are likely to bring a similar vibe to the table and keep the crowd groovin’ late into the night.
The new venue is minutes from UIC, and an address is only available via ticket purchase. The underground event is flow friendly, will feature live visuals by our close homie NeoCord, and has a diverse variety of artists and vendors set to participate in the event (including our friends at both Grassroots and EVOL Chicago). If you’re looking for festival vibes in the dead of winter, Future Sounds 6 is the place to be.
Tickets available HERE.
