North Coast Music Festival Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary at Northerly Island

Written by Breton Spiller

This year is North Coast Music Festival‘s 10 year anniversary, and event organizers have an awesome celebration planned! The Chicago-based festival has decided to make the move from its previous and longtime home at Union Park to a new location this year. North Coast will now be taking place at Northerly Island in downtown Chicago. Hands down, this is one of the best concert venues in the city. If you haven’t attended an event there, I would highly recommend. The scenery along the lake at Northerly Island is beautiful, and concert production at the iconic venue is top-tier. Along with an exciting new location, the North Coast team has also put together quite an impressive lineup that is truly representative of the high quality talent this decade-old festival can bring out. You can expect to see artists that cover a diverse set of sounds, such as Bassnectar, Big Wild, Flux Pavillion, Tchami, Major Lazer and more!

The festival will only take place for two days this year, rather than three as it has in the past. It will still happen over Labor Day weekend, though. The dates for the festival are Friday, August 30th and Saturday August 31st. There will be two stages at the fest, The Huntington Bank Pavilion (the main stage at Northerly Island) and The Hangar stage which is being added to the venue just for the festival. General Admission tickets will give you access to both stages, but you will need to purchase either lawn or floor tickets. I would recommend opting for floor tickets if you want to get up close at the Huntington Bank Pavilion stage. We are excited to celebrate 10 years of North Coast with all of you, hope to see you there!
