Electric Forest returns after multiple COVID related cancellations
After two years of cancellations related to the COVID19 pandemic, Electric Forest Festival finally returns to Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, MI, from June 23-26. Given that most fans have held onto their tickets all this time, we can safely assume that the energy coming into day one of the festival will be explosive and immaculate.
An equally powerful lineup will only match this energy. Some of this year’s headliners include Griz, Disclosure, Porter Robinson, and Big Gigantic. A few other notables include Big Wild, CloZee, The Disco Biscuits, Dom Dolla, John Summit, Lab Group, Iya Terra, Honeycomb, Wax Motif, and many more. It’s impossible to pick favorites here because every artist is carefully selected to present a quality, diverse lineup.
Anyone who has previously been to Electric Forest can help verify that this festival is about much more than just the music. It’s a wonderland of art, community, culture, love, experience, and beyond. Whether you’re exploring Sherwood Forest, hanging around the campgrounds with your closest friends, or enjoying a pop-up show at one of the many side stages, there’s never a dull moment in the forest.
By offering various fan participation opportunities via their Plug-in program, the concept of community is unparalleled here. The goal behind the Plug-In program is to “blur the line between event organizers and attendees,” as stated by the official Electric Forest team. These opportunities allow the electric forest community to showcase their talent and contribute to the festival in new and fascinating ways.
